School Issues

Recent economic conditions have had a negative impact on school budgets. Some programs have been reduced, some programs lost, class sizes increased, and personnel cut. What used to be readily available is no loger accessable.

As parents seek to get the best for their child, school are faced with meeting these needs with reduced and limited resources. Conflicts can arise between parents and the school when these realities clash. The longer these conflicts continue, the greater the negative impact on the educational process for the child. It is often difficult to keep these conflicts away from the child, and the child experiences an additional burden to carry.

Mediation is a way to resolve these conflicts. Reaching an agreement that is acceptable to both the parent and the school enables the education process to continue, relieves the child of an uncessary burden and regains the parent/school partnership necessary for quality outcomes.
